Studio Three Ponsonby
Good news: You don't need dance experience to try out an Xtend barre classes. But be ready to sweat in the high-energy sessions which combine elements of dance, ballet and Pilates. It's said to improve flexibility, balance and get your core working. The studio also offers pilates fusion, TRX suspension training and a core stabilising fit ball class.

Ascend the stairs to this large and welcoming yoga studio, which offers classic styles such as Bikram and Hatha, along with a sweaty and intense Power Vinyasa or for the more chill, Yin. Azabu is right next door if you fancy a plate of dumplings and Japanese cocktail after a sweat session

Adidas Run Club
For those keen to embrace the outdoor elements, then strap on your running shoes and join the club. The Adidas run club pounds the city pavement every Tuesday from 6 pm.

K Core Pilates
K Core Pilates, run by the lovely Kate, promises a full body sweat session, with a class that's a little more modern than traditional Pilates. There are beginner, intermediate and advanced classes to choose from, all of which promise head-to-toe strengthening and flexing.
