Why You Should Try the Party Top Knot

The top knot is one of those fuss-free, throw-it-up and off you go hairstyles, great for the gym and tidying the house. And now thanks to the Delevingne sisters and Lily-Rose Depp, a fluffy high bun is the going out up-do to be seen with.

Earlier this week model and actress Cara Delevingne swept up her hair for the opening of the Chanel Mademoiselle Prive exhibition in London, slicked back with a few stray flyways framing her face. She teamed her messy bun with a little black cocktail dress, pearl choker and a lip piercing, while her sister Poppy twisted her freshly bleached locks into an effortlessly pulled back bun, fastening it with a silver barrette.

It’s not just for those with long tresses either — last week Lily-Rose Depp made headlines when she attended the Chanel Paris Fashion Week show with her cropped ear-length hair swished into a fuzzy top knot.

The thing about this updo is that it radiates a nonchalant “I’m positively not trying too hard” attitude — and when worn with the right outfit, judging by these leading ladies, makes for an ideal good time out.
