The ultimate food, drink and entertainment festival has begun with Taste of Auckland descending in all things delicious on Auckland's Waterfront across four days.

New Friday Lunch at Coco's Cantina
Do Italian’s lunch better? Find out with Coco’s Cantina’s new Friday lunch menu which begins this week. In traditional worker-style, punters will pay up front, grab a tray and select from three dishes — think pasta, salads, antipasti and dessert. The $35 fixed price comes with a glass of house wine. The day's menu will be posted on social media on Friday morning.

La Zeppa's annual Summer Carnival is set to bring its annual rooftop party. The all-day festival features street-style food, live music and Gordon's pink gin cocktails. Tuck into fried chicken, curly fries and Brooklyn style gourmet hotdogs. Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy Kookie Haus cookies, Bondie Designer Cupcakes and Torro Churros. Tunes will be provided by Sam Jones, Jetski Safari, Ijebu Pleasure Club and Arii Jade on two stages.

World-beating Wines at Glengarry
Join Viva wine contributor and international wine judge Jo Burzynska at Glengarry for a taste of some of the top wines from this year’s International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC). After chairing the New Zealand panels at this leading UK-based international wine show last month, Jo will be offering insights into the judging process, while the award-winning local wines are poured by their makers. This could well include trophy-winning Pinot Noir from Takapoto Estate, which for the second year in a row beat all contenders to win the coveted Pinot Noir Trophy, as well as a host of other stellar wines.

Marlborough winery Cloudy Bay will take over Odettes, serving up a taste of the region. The Cloudy Bay Sail Away pop-up will feature a menu by Odettes head chef Jonah Huang using local produce and fresh seafood paired with Cloudy Bay wines. Kick off the afternoon with oysters and cocktails to live music in the courtyard. Then settle down for dinner as Jonah and his team fire up a Japanese robata grill.
