1. All About Women Satellite
Essential viewing regardless of gender, the All About Women satellite event returns to Auckland Museum this Sunday, via a livestream from the Sydney Opera House. Geena Davis will discuss representations of women in media, followed by Jessa Crispin talking about her new book Why I Am Not a Feminist. The event will be rounded out by the Nasty Women panel, with Yassmin Abdel-Magied, Van Badham and Lindy West discussing how labels hold women back.

2. Auckland Coffee Festival
Head along to the Auckland Coffee Festival on Saturday for a caffeine fix, with New Zealand's best coffee roasters offering samples, and advice on all things coffee. Tickets cost $14.

3. The Floating Theatre
New Zealand's first floating theatre is in town for the Auckland Fringe Festival. The 30-seat theatre is a unique structure that floats on water and offers an engaging experience of projections, puppetry and stagecraft. It will be set up at two locations: from March 1-4 at the West End Rowing Club, and from March 8-11 at the Viaduct Marina. There are two shows a day, at 8pm and 9.30pm.

4. Oysters
The much-anticipated Bluff oyster season started this week, so we've rounded up the best spots to dine on the dainty starter. To celebrate the return of this delicious shellfish, Princes Wharf will also host the Oyster Festival throughout March, with daily oyster deals from the likes of The Culpeper, Euro, Coley and Punch, The Crabshack and Fish Restaurant.

5. Auckland Cup Week and Vodafone Derby Day
This weekend sees the start of New Zealand's most glamorous and important week of horse racing with Vodafone Derby Day this Saturday. The day will be filled with entertainment, fashion and racing. Note that traditionally the dress code for Derby Day is black and white. Next weekend, is the Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day which is another day on the racing calendar not be missed.

6. Christchurch Holi – Indian Festival of Colour
Head outdoors and get amongst the community for a day of dancing, cultural performances and throwing of colours. This Indian holiday is traditionally recognised as a day to forgive, look ahead and celebrate as a community. The throwing colours are provided and are corn-flour based and non-toxic. Tips for the day: wear old clothes and comfortable shoes.

7. Diner en Blanc 
Held at a top-secret secret location in Auckland, more than 1200 people dress head-to-toe in white will gather for a stylish outdoor picnic this Saturday. This is the fourth year Diner en Blanc has been held in Auckland, with previous events hosted at Britomart, Wynyard Quarter and Bayswater Marina. Tickets to this fabulous event have now closed, but check back in here on Monday, to see all the party pics.

Returning to Western Springs this year, the Pasifika Festivals celebrates its 25th year — head along for a day full of Pacific culture diversity, with food and vibrant performances.

Womad, March 17-19
Taranaki will host iconic three-day festival Womad this month, with artists from all over the globe gathering to showcase many forms of music, arts and dance.

Adele, March 23, 25 and 26
The superstar will perform in New Zealand for the first time later this month, with record-breaking sellout shows - although there are still limited tickets available to her Thursday, March 23 show.

The Body Laid Bare: Masterpieces from Tate, from March 18
More than 100 nude artworks from London's Tate gallery will be exhibited at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki later this month, including masterpieces by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Louise Bourgeois, Cindy Sherman and the Guerrilla Girls.
