Singer-songwriter Tami Neilson will bring the stonking soul sound of her sixth album Sassafras to the Town Hall. Don't miss the opening act of the bluesy Americana folk-rock quintet The Miltones.

Sign O'the Times at the Film Festival 
Once hailed 'the greatest concert movie ever made', Prince's 1987 film Sign O'the Times has been added as a late confirmation to the New Zealand International Film Festival schedule. Written and directed by Prince, the film is more precious than ever in the wake of his death, featuring the sensational musician's otherworldly talents.

100 Artists Exhibition at Allpress 
To mark Allpress Studio's fifth birthday Allpress will host an exhibition titled 100 Artists, celebrating the creatives who have shared their work in the space since its inception. The six-week long free showcase will feature work available to buy from 35 selected artists, including Lisa Reihana, Raukura Turei and Hannah Jensen, community and music events from 65 other talents, and a limited-edition Allpress coffee, the 100 Artists Blend.

Jon Lemmon at Galatos 
Start the weekend off with good vibes and a boogie courtesy of Wellington's electronic dance artist Jon Lemmon, who will play his catchy tunes It's Gonna Be Alright and Something True at Galatos. To get the party started there will be support from Auckland rap duo, Cool Tan.

Belles Hot Chicken Pop-up at Longroom 
The finger-lickin' goodness of Belles Hot Chicken is deep-frying its way to Ponsonby's Longroom for a pop-up this week that really balances the idea of 'wellness' for us. Melbourne-based Kiwi creator Morgan McGlone will return to serve a 'Really F*ckin Hot' chicken special, alongside Belles' favourites of chicken sandwiches and waffles. All to be paired with ice-cold Estrella Damm. #hallelujah. 
When: Thursday August 2 - Sunday August 5, 12pm-10pm   Where: 114 Ponsonby Rd

By4 Ponsonby Central Pop-up
Some of our favourite local, sustainable and ethically made brands will come together for a special pop up in Ponsonby Central this weekend. Find clothing labels Arc & Bow and Bare Bones from Mount Maunganui-based Mane Project, and simple and easy-to-wear layers from Etta Every. There will also be unfussy swimwear from Simma Studios and unique one-off craft pieces from Companion Co-Design. 
When: Monday July 30 -  Sunday August 5   Where: Ponsonby Central

General Collective Lifestyle & Design Market at ASB
Local designers, makers and creatives will gather under one roof to showcase a unique range of high-quality items across art, fashion, homewares, handmade toys and more. Top Auckland food vendors will be on site, plus there's a coffee station and wine bar. Entry is $3 per person.

Sneaky Snacky Pop-up at Ostro
Sneaky Snacky is the latest pop-up to hit Ostro, which pays tribute to 1980s nostalgia and decadent, Asian-inspired snack food. Donut burgers, Korean fried chicken, fried tofu, and hot dogs feature on the menu, and the decor and playlist has wound back the clock. Late night libations here we come.

The NZSO and The Phoenix Foundation 
The iconic Wellington-born band The Phoenix Foundation will take the stage with the NZSO for a spectacular (and rare) concert experience. All of their catalogues will be performed with unique arrangements by the orchestra.
