1. Drake's in Town
Hip-hop superstar Drake is in town this weekend! The Grammy-award winning artist is bringing his hugely-successful Boy Meets World tour to Spark Arena for two consecutive nights, for what will be an incredible concert experience for his fans.

2. Karen Walker's Pop-Up Bookstore
Fashion designer Karen Walker and David Hedley, owner of New Zealand's oldest bookshop, Hedley's Books of Masterton have come together to create the Playpark Summer 2017 Salon, which will see Karen's Newmarket store transformed into a pop-up bookshop until Christmas. You can listen to Karen and David talk about their favourite books and their new and exciting collaboration on the first-ever Viva Talks podcast.

3. Inner City Creativity at the Cross Street Markets
You'll find an eclectic mix of clever types selling their wares at this inner-city market; Katie Melody Rogers with her handmade and found objects, Morena Pickles with their homemade preserves, Lucinda Barret with jewellery, Ace Firers and their pottery, and Formantics with contemporary ceramics and artwork, just to name a few. With tunes spinning throughout the day, and the resident tarot card reader close by, the Cross Street Market is a must-visit for the curious and creative.

4. Taste Award-Winning Wines with Jo Buryzynska
Join wine expert, author and judge Jo Burzynska and the IWSC team (International Wine & Spirit Competition) for a wine-tasting evening that promises to offer only the best. Taste a fine selection medal winners from New Zealand, including the Trophy-winning Pinot Noir, and mix and mingle with the passionate producers of the award-winning wines.
