Ponsonby Mid-Winter Market
Ponsonby Central's Sapphire Room (found up the stairs) is holding a market full of locally designed homewares, fashion, jewellery and skincare this weekend. Children can be entertained with face painting while you shop and enjoy the food and wine available.

KLAY Pop-Up at Penny Sage

Live Reel at The Basement Theatre
What would Jodie Foster do this weekend? She would go see a live script reading of Silence of the Lambs at Basement Theatre. The always hilarious crew of talented actors will be holding a special spooky edition of Live Reel on Friday the 13th reading the script (for the first time) of the American horror-thriller film. It's a free event but koha is cool.

Stimmung Choir at Q Theatre
For choral singing that's a bit naughty––think contemporary with a few swear words thrown in––comes Stimmung Choir. It's the third concert series from a crew of 30 singers, who this time around will be performing original music from their forthcoming debut album Our Lady of the Flowers. They're joined by special guests Priya Sami (Trip Pony), comedian Chris Parker and more.

Remuera Bastille Day
French up your weekend at the Remuera Bastille Day celebrations. In the neighbourhood will be a French food market, stalls from local retailers, music and street entertainment and plenty of fun activities for children including a bouncy castle, face painting and balloons. Don your beret and join the family fun day.

Auckland Zinefest is back for another year and will once again take over the Auckland Art Gallery to showcase the best locally made publications. The event is free to attend but remember to bring cash for stall holders.
