Mavrick & Mere Ponsonby Central Pop-up
A shared passion for high-quality leather goods, handbags and fashion saw best friend duo Amanda and Kristin form their avant-garde handbag label, Mavrick & Mere. The duo debuted their inaugural collection 'Kiss Bang' in March this year, comprising four edgy styles to appeal to the two sides of every woman. Meet the makers behind the luxury leather goods at their Ponsonby Central pop-up shop.

Fiona Pardington at The Vivian
Matakana's The Vivian beckons for a trip out of the city this weekend. The contemporary art space, located on three acres of grounds, is exhibiting leading artist Fiona Pardington's latest series Midnight at the Crossroads in collaboration with Starkwhite. The opening evening will have musician Nathan Haines and DJ Jaimie Haines, organic pizza, Sawmill beer and Huia Wines. Even better, a free return bus service will run from Starkwhite Gallery to The Vivian (seats limited). If you can't make it the show runs until September 2.
