One of New Zealand's most popular bloggers, Katherine Lowe is known for her effortlessly casual style and Instagramming up a storm as she visits and samples some of Auckland's top food spots and fashion shops.

She shares a few of her weekend plans ...

Brunching ...There are a few regular places I go to brunch at (it's always brunch, bordering lunch on the weekend, no one can wake up early enough to have breakfast). Dizengoff is a regular spot for me - you hardly ever have to wait long for a table and they're accommodating with the menu. I get a half-size scrambled eggs on toast, with two pieces of toast and a side of avocado.

Sometimes I go to Dear Jervois for the creamy mushrooms and home-made hash browns. L'oeuf I went to one time and thought it was pretty delicious. I want to go back and try the mushrooms. I have a friend who dined there three times in one week just for that dish, so I've got high expectations.

Drinking ... On Friday night I went to Peach Pit for food and drinks.

I really like that place. It's casual and you feel relaxed and comfortable and they've got deep fried mac and cheese on the menu right now. At Chop Chopthere's this drink called the Lady Viper which I like, it's kind of like a mango smoothie with freeze dried berries on top. The Molten Wine Bar in Mt Eden is nice, too. I like quieter places, you hardly ever find me at "the club".

Dining ... Coco's Cantina for the polenta chips and the ravioli. Last time I went it was pea and mint and it was delicious. C.A.C for the ricotta and spinach gnocchi, 12-hour lamb and grilled mushrooms with herbed ricotta. Welcome Eatery on weekdays (they're not open on weekends, sadly) for lunch. Tanuki's Cave because it's always warm in there, and the steak with butter and soy sauce is delicious.Tanpopo or Ramen Do for ramen. I can't figure out which I like better. Also, I don't know the name of it, but there's a Chinese place in the food court behind Rialtothat does the best wonton noodle soup and it's like $9 or something.

Trying ... Oh jeez, there are heaps of places I want to try. I went to Kazuya for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was really delicious. Highly recommend. Everyone is talking about Odette's so I want to give that a go for dinner.

I have wanted to try 601 Sake Bar for a long time, as well as Ima Bistro.

Loving ... Bed. I love sleeping. I love working from my bed, reading in bed, watching TV in bed. The only thing I don't really like is eating in bed (crumbs). In terms of restaurants, my favourite in Auckland would have to be The French Cafe. I don't really get to eat there very often but I've never had a bad time when I have!

Relaxing ... There's a lot of sleeping. I spend so much time reading on the internet that I've decided to make a concerted effort to read "offline" so I'm trying to do that, too.

There's usually a fair bit of dining out on the weekend - brunches, dinners - and usually a trip to Farro for a Wildwheat French stick and cheese and their freshly squeezed orange juice (trust me on this). I have recently been going to barre classes at Barrefigure so I try to do that on Saturday morning. If it's sunny I have two friends with swimming pools so usually I'll drop not so subtle hints with them and get myself an invite.

Shopping ... Nobody ever believes me when I say it but I don't actually go out and shop that much. Well, at least not without a specific purpose. I find it difficult to just browse. That being said, when I'm in the area I like to go to Mecca Cosmetica, even if just to look. Same with Fabric on High Street and Flotsam and Jetsam.

I recently bought an Ephemera swimsuit online, and some Lonely lingerie. I'm keeping an eye out for a navy suede pump with a pointed toe. I saw this pair in theDior store in Sydney a while ago and have been looking for something similar ever since. (If you see anything, let me know.)

Anticipating ...My boyfriend and I bought tickets to Drake so that'll be cool. Mostly I'm just looking forward to warm, sunny days.

Summer plans ...I don't really have any plans as yet. I'm definitely going to be hitting up those two pool friends though - I've got this vision of me, all toned from Barrefigure classes, in my new swimsuit, lying by the pool with my friends and some nice drinks and food, reading a book. How nice would that be? Other than that I think there will be a few beach trips and al-fresco meals, and maybe a trip toSpookers. I've never been.

I think a few of us might do a little trip out of Auckland which will be fun, we did it last year and as weird and cliche as it may sound, it really was a great bonding experience.
