There's no better combination than marrying food with culture to become something bigger and better. Viva is delighted to partner with Clare van den Berg, the co-owner of restaurant Odettes, to do just that, using the City Works Depot location as a platform to showcase van den Berg's love of arts.

You're invited to Odettes Front Row, a dining experience celebrating some of New Zealand's best creative minds. Each event will see a different discipline - fashion, art, design or music - brought to life in the restaurant while guests mingle and dine.

First up on Monday October 10 is a fashion show from Harman Grubisa, which will give the audience a chance to see the brand's collection for spring 2016 up close, and share in the designers' creative vision. The collection to be shown salon style, called Feels Like Las Vegas, features fabulous sequins and silks, and will be available to buy following the show from the brand's Jervois Rd boutique.

On the night, the menu will be an exclusive preview of Odettes' new summer offerings. Designed by head chef Josh Kucharick, the menu will draw on flavours from the Mediterranean, with guests enjoying a drink on arrival, canapes, two sharing courses and dessert.

• Odettes Front Row, in association with Viva, October 10, 6.30pm. Individual tickets are $135, with group bookings available. To book, ph (09) 309 0304 or email reservations@odettes.co.nz
