1. If President Obama's Hope campaign was a success, Hillary Clinton's promotional merchandise is a stroke of genius. She's taken her signature pantsuit and turned it into a T-shirt, which brings a "whole new approach to casual Friday", and is also selling a pillow stitched with the words: 'A Woman's Place is in the White House'.

2. Now there's an answer as to why Cher was Marc Jacob's date to the Met Gala last month the 69-year-old singer is the star of the label's new ad campaigns, in which she's wearing a floor length black dress. The campaign, unveiled on the designer's personal Instagram account, was photographed by David Sims and styled by Katie Grand.

3. Los Angeles-based clothing label Band of Outsiders is reportedly closing, according to Women's Wear Daily. The brand's founder Scott Sternberg neither confirmed nor denied the move, although the majority of the company's staff have reportedly been laid off.

4. After opening its first New Zealand store in April, Australian brand Seed Heritage is set to open a second Auckland space on the outside of Westfield's 277 mall in Newmarket.

5. New York photographer Mary Ellen Mark, who captured the dark side of society in her black-and-white portraits, has died at 75. During her 40-year career, Mark was credited with showing compassion, rather than pity, through her images of heroin addicts, prostitutes and street kids.

6. Fashion influencers Anna Wintour, American designer Tory Burch and former Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts feature alongside the likes of Beyonce and our very own Helen Clark in Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women list. Read more about it here.
