World famous hairstyling brand TONI&GUY will make its debut in New Zealand this month, bringing its cutting-edge range of hair care and styling products from one of the most innovative salons in the world.

The TONI&GUY philosophy is all about creating a look from the hair down. Your hair is an expression of personal style and with TONI&GUY’s new range the creative possibilities are endless.

Having supported London Fashion Week for over 20 seasons, TONI&GUY have worked with some of fashion’s hottest designers, including Vivienne Westwood Red Label and Matthew Williamson.

In partnering with local designers P I A, SUPERETTE, and Zoe & Morgan for the New Zealand launch, each brand has been matched with a signature TONI&GUY product, perfectly aligned to their fashion essence to create bespoke looks inspired by the catwalks of London.

Whether you’re going for tousled waves, classic curls, sky-high volume or a creative up-do, you’ll find the right styling products within the TONI&GUY collection.

TONI&GUY product is now available exclusively from SUPERETTE and P I A, before launching nationwide in mid-May.

CASUAL WITH SUPERETTE
Rickie Dee from SUPERETTE

Why do you think it's important to incorporate your hairstyle into your fashion choices?
A great outfit is nothing without completing your look with amazing hair. Whatever your outfit is for the day it is important to follow suit with great hair to match.

What is your favourite hair look at the moment?
Loving a sexy, beachy wave. That is why it was perfect to colab' with TONI&GUY on the Sea Salt Texturising Spray as a look we love!

What does casual mean to SUPERETTE?
At SUPERETTE we love a casual polished look. We don't want our outfits to look like we have tried too hard. We love to pair a timeless blazer in with some slouch jersey pants to make the look more casual and relaxed.

For SUPERETTE TONI&GUY gave the classic beach hair look a contemporary twist using SEA SALT TEXTURISING SPRAY ($17.99):

1 Spritz hair with SEA SALT TEXTURISING SPRAY and leave it to set before working through with your fingers.

2 Take a section of hair from the top of your head and twist into a loose knot and fasten with a tie.

GLAMOUR WITH ZOE & MORGAN
Zoe Williams from Zoe & Morgan

What is glamour to you?
To me glamour is elegance, polite by nature, noticed by understated beauty. I like the idea of swimming in the sea by day, and going to a red carpet event by night. Radiating glamour through natural skin and hair, put together, but not overdone.

What is your favourite hair look at the moment?
I am a fan of woman with long hair. There is something free spirited and soft about woman with long hair and both of those qualities are attractive.

What inspires you for your designs?
Travel, breaking routines, flowers, the history of jewellery, modernist architecture, my family, my friends, blue skies, floating in the sea, and music. I believe those who seek beauty find it. Inspiration is all around us.

For Zoe & Morgan TONI&GUY created elegant and voluptuous waves using 3D VOLUMISER ($17.99) and a bit of backcombing for a glamorous evening style:

1 Spray 3D VOLUMISER through washed hair.

2 Smooth ends while blowdrying hair, and use your fingers to create volume at the roots.

3 Using a curling tong create loose barrel curls throughout the ends – brush through with fingers to loosen into waves.

CREATIVE WITH P I A
PIA Naera from P I A

Why did you want to be involved in the TONI&GUY launch in NZ?
As a New Zealand designer, the opportunity to collaborate with an international brand like TONI&GUY that's fun, fresh, and fashion-focussed was really exciting as it aligns perfectly with P I A. Fashion and hair go hand in hand, and we love the look that P I A and TONI&GUY have created.

What does creative mean to P I A? How does this represent you/your brand?
The P I A girl is described as bold, beautiful and feminine – she's definitely fun and creative. The P I A girl is not afraid to stand out from the crowd.

What is your favourite hair look at the moment?
I'm really into the slick, high ponytail look at the moment, it's sleek, clean and easy. Styles like these leave room to embellish with big earrings and bright lippy – like what we created in the shoot with TONI&GUY.

For P I A TONI&GUY created a fierce, texturised Mohawk with STYLE SPRAY WAX ($17.99):

1 Spritz STYLE SPRAY WAX evenly through hair and scrunch with fingers before heat styling for added texture.

2 Clip the hair around the sides of your head back, while back-brushing the top area for height.

3 Finish with one more spray of STYLE SPRAY WAX to ensure exible control over your wild style.
