Who: Topshop Unique's SS17 see-now-buy-now show, inspired by an "urban traveller" with a penchant for raves.

What: The 90s meets festival bohemian meets rave kid - bias-cut slips, long, floral maxis and graphic sweatshirts. Ring pull zips and cut-outs kept sportswear alive throughout the collection.

Where: The Tate Modern's underground gallery The Tanks, where models circled around rows of guests in a big industrial room.

We liked: Delicate dresses styled under heavy sweatshirts and denim jackets and shoulder-grazing silver earrings.

Not so much … The political-looking badges with no message.

Front row: Celebrity guests included Pixie Geldof, Sofia Richie, Olivia Palermo and Erin O'Connor, as well as the usual mix of fashion personalities like Man Repeller's Leandra Medine, Christine Centenera, Yasmin Sewell and Camille Charriere.

New Zealand represent: Kiwi-born Victoria's Secret model Georgia Fowler also walked in the show, as did New Zealander Stella Maxwell. Georgia has been a fixture on the catwalk this fashion month, closing Kanye West's Yeezy show at New York Fashion Week and also walking for Marchesa, and opening House of Holland and Julien MacDonald, and closing Anya Hindmarch at London Fashion Week.

The music: An upbeat version of Moby's Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? kicked off the catwalk, followed by Major Lazer's Bubble Butt and 1,2 Step by Ciara, which had British Vogue's Alexandra Shulman nodding along.

Beauty note: Long, dead-straight hair was cut square at the bottom, while heads of curls were left to their own devices. The makeup was simple: clumped lashes and smudgy red lips to reflect the attitude of this season's traveller muse.

Sell-out piece: The decadent chocolate-coloured trench coat.
