Have you seen those dreamy pink interiors at Sketch London? Or blush pink and white walls of Odette in Singapore? Now New Zealand has its own picture perfect venue, Salon de Cake. The Caker's Jordan Rondel is behind the space, which will offer her beloved mini cakes to takeaway, plus her cookbooks and cake mixes. She will also hold wedding consultations by appointment, and the space is available to be hired for events.

Jordan has collaborated with family and friends to bring the space to life: stainless steel ‘Peanut Chairs’ by her designer father Stephane Rondel have been painted pink and a bespoke image by Karen Inderbitzen-Waller and Delphine Avril Planqueel decorates the walls alongside a custom-made mirror by MarkAntonia. Plus a rolling light box with the words “Girls Girls Girls” pays tribute to the venue’s K Rd neighbourhood.

• Salon de Cake, 446 Karangahape Rd, open Monday 11am-4pm, Tuesday to Friday 9am-4pm, Saturday 11am-2pm. Visit thecaker.co.nz
