See Amy Schumer, Serena Williams in the Pirelli Calendar 2016
See photographer Annie Leibovitz's portraits for the Pirelli Calendar 2016
The Pirelli Calendar 2016 looks a bit different to previous years (the last one featured Gigi Hadid and a topless Joan Smalls in latex).
That's thanks to photographer Annie Leibovitz, who has captured not models, but some of the world's most influential women, in black and white.
At the calendar's launch this week, the photographer explained that none of the photographs were taken with the male gaze in mind. Most of the women are fully-clothed, and only two — comedian Amy Schumer and tennis star Serena Williams — are showing significant skin.
The calendar also features artists Yoko Ono and Shirin Neshat, blogger Tavi Gevinson, writer Fran Lebowitz, investment banker Mellody Hobson, musician Patti Smith, actress Yao Chen, director Ava DuVernay and art collector Agnes Gund.
