On the Scent
Estee Lauder's enchanting new fragrance collection serves to transport the wearer to undiscovered places, each one promising an elevated sensorial experience that harnesses the latest in luxury fragrance longevity. The brand's exclusive Scent Capture Fragrance Extender technology was developed to ensure each scent lasts for up to 12 hours after the first spritz. More than that, each scent underwent independent neurosensorial testing to evoke specific emotions in those who were drawn to them, including positivity, calm, confidence, cheerfulness, relaxation and sensuality.

The eight new scents Infinite Sky, Tender Light, Sensuous Stars, Dream Dusk, Radiant Mirage, Desert Eden, Blushing Sands, and Paradise Moon are priced at $297 each and come in monogrammed, fluted glass bottles adorned with a gold rope detail, a clear nod to the Estee Lauder brand heritage. Available from selected department stores or online at Esteelauder.co.nz

Meanwhile, Benefit has made finding your perfect concealer shade a piece of cake, by extending the range of its ever-popular Boi-Ing Cakeless Concealer, $42, to a whopping 30 shades. Praise Be
Building on its esteemed Skin Care+ range comes Aesop's new Exalted Eye Serum, $149, which adopts a targeted yet nuanced approach to caring for the delicate under-eye area. Well suited to all skin types, including sensitive or mature skin, the lightweight formula addresses the visible signs of dehydration, fatigue and dullness. It does so thanks to its blend of vitamins B3, B5 and C, alongside high-performing humectants panthenol and sodium carrageenan for sustained hydration, while pelvetia canaliculata extract bolsters skin resilience and suppleness.

As with all of Aesop's skincare, scent is important and this time cedar atlas, frankincense and juniper berry oil combine to lend the serum a warm, woody and resinous aroma. Available from Aesop signature stores, selected department stores or online at Aesop.com/nz

Not Your Ordinary
It's mastered the mass skincare market, but now The Ordinary is stepping into new territory with the launch of its haircare range, which comprises a hair cleanser, conditioner and scalp treatment. The brand's same fuss-free, science-first approach applies to hair with its inaugural collection focusing on scalp care and its ability to support new, healthy hair growth.

In a somewhat controversial move, The Ordinary is aiming to put sulphates back on the map by including its Sulphate 4% Cleanser for Hair & Body, $15. Its mission to re-educate consumers about sulphates in haircare is a top priority for the brand, which claims it's one of the category's most misconceived ingredients. Triple Treat
While niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and ferulic acid are hero ingredients in their own right, they haven't always played nicely together until now. The new Lancome Renergie H.C.F. Triple Serum, $204, draws on more than 40 years of bioengineering research and innovation to see a triple dose of vitamin C and niacinamide, alongside hyaluronic acid and ferulic acid combine in a high-performance anti-ageing concentrate which takes a three-fold approach to restoring skin.

Ferment-based hyaluronic acid works to smooth and re-plump skin with moisture, visibly reducing the appearance of wrinkles; vitamin C and niacinamide combat pigmentation and boost brightness for a more even skin tone; and plant-based ferulic acid strengthens the skin barrier and defends against free radical damage. Each active ingredient is housed in a separate chamber to protect it from light, air and impurities, before being freshly fused at the time of each use through the triple nozzle. Available from Farmers stores or at Farmers.co.nz
