The Natural Shampoo New Zealanders Can't Get Enough Of

Local company, Everblue launched its must-have range of cruelty free, New Zealand-made hair and body care range exclusively into Countdown, Fresh Choice and Super Value Supermarkets nationwide this June and it's like a blue wave has hit.

Within the first week of launching the start-up was only in fifty per cent of Countdown stores and was already selling double its forecast. Once the company hit one hundred per cent distribution, Countdown supermarkets were running out of stock and are currently struggling to keep up with demand, with stores selling out of Everblue’s naturally derived shampoo and conditioner at times, in particular its volume and shine-focused ‘Empower’ collection. Luckily the range is produced locally, so could be topped up quickly.

"What we thought was going to be enough stock to last 16 weeks, got sent out in five weeks, so fair to say we've been manic trying to get more ready!" Says Renee Lee, Everblue's chief operations officer.

With its irresistible powder-blue aesthetic, affordable price point, sustainable packaging and proven results, the New Zealand-owned brand is already making waves in the beauty industry.

Everblue, who set out to prove that natural hair care could work just as well as chemically packed alternatives, is getting rave reviews, not only from customers, but influencers and media alike.

The brand reports many testimonials from New Zealand women raving about their hair care formulations.

“You’ve converted me from a brand I’ve used for six years. 100 per cent turnaround.''  – Angie

‘’Hands down the best ‘curly girl method’ friendly brand I’ve ever used.” – Teagan

“Can’t believe this is natural and under $10. My hair feels incredible!” – Claire

“I am a curly girl and this product has really impressed me!!” – Beka

“Makes my hair so soft and manageable!” – Seb

''My hair is super, super curly and honestly this conditioner is the best!” – Katie

The brand’s hair care is consciously free from any parabens, SLS, SLES and nasty silicones, instead opting to use natural oils rather than silicones, which can leave a coating on your hair and only give an illusion of healthy locks.

The company is led by women, and co-founder Jade Hart and chief operations officer Renee Lee have been incredibly humbled by the reaction and reviews they have received.

‘’We have been absolutely blown away by the feedback and reviews we have received. We are just so thrilled that Kiwi women are loving our brand, understand our feel-good ethos and are along with us for the ride,’’ says Jade.

The full Everblue range consists of premium, clean, sustainable, professional-quality hair care, hair care bars, body wash, hand wash, hand wash refills, hand and body bars and epsom salts. Prices start at only $3 and the company is in talks to expand to Australia already.

Keep an eye out for the powder-blue brand at your local Countdown, Fresh Choice or Super Value Supermarkets.
