Shop for beautiful hats and linen wares at this special pop-up shop from makers Hej-Hej and The Brim Label. These thoughtful designers have collaborated to fill a special space at Ponsonby Central, that will only be around for this weekend.

Le French Village
Spend the weekend perusing over 70 French-themed stalls, with delicious food, fun games, workshops classes and fashion. Rugby-lovers will be excited to know you can enjoy some French beer and watch the All Blacks play France on Saturday night, where the game will be broadcast on giant screens. Secret World of Butterflies
Learn everything there is to know about butterflies at Auckland Museum's latest interactive exhibition. Over 100 trays of butterflies will be on display at a time and will be changed out twice, making repeat visits necessary. Writer Courtney Sina Meredith and illustrator Giselle Clarkson have also created a beautiful book The Secret World of Butterflies, which is available to purchase from the museum.

Moet & Chandon Grand Day Brunch

Daylight Moon Exhibition
Emerging artists Ophelia Mikkelson and Ryder Jones have put their creative talents together for their first show together at Wellington's Precinct 35. It features painting and sculptures which explore "fleeting moments" of "epiphany and inspiration".

Magic Fridays
Filling the void for tasty, plant-based, takeaway lunches on Karangahape Rd, cook and food blogger Gemma Walsh has started a lunchtime pop-up called Magic Fridays. Operating out of shared studio space Strange Haven each Friday from 12pm, for $10 you can pick up wholesome vegan dishes like butternut tagine, warming pho and a rich tomato ragu with pumpkin 'meatballs'. (Down the road, much-loved vegan bakery Tart has just announced they'll be open from 9pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights for a satisfying post-gig treat. Think pastries, pies, and hearty late night bites to warm you up from the inside out.)

The Goodness Gala
This Friday, KiwiHarvest is holding a black-tie fundraiser to support their food rescue efforts, where guests can enjoy a menu designed by Skycity's top chefs. The Goodness Gala will include an auction, a performance from Sweet Mix Kids, with the proceeds going towards feeding people in need this winter.
