In support of our Muslim whanau and Christchurch: Vigils and gatherings will continue this weekend to stand together with Aotoeroa's Muslim community. Five mosques around Auckland will open their doors to the public on Friday night to welcome all faiths. The Auckland Domain will also host a vigil organised by Migrants Against Racism and Xenophobia for Jummah (Friday Prayer) at 6pm. On Sunday, Love Aotearoa Hate Racism will have a vigil in Aotea Square from 2pm. In Wellington head to Civic Square on Thursday at 7pm. Christchurch will host a vigil in North Hagley Park on Sunday at 5pm.
Dog Day Afternoon at Silo Park
Who let the dogs out? Canine lovers and their four-legged friends will have an afternoon dedicated to all things dog at Silo Park this Saturday. There's lots of fun to be had with dog-themed events, and food and beverage trucks parked up on site.
