Pink Star Walk 
Pink Star Walks, which raises money to fight breast cancer, is on this weekend. Step out with friends to support a good cause, with 5km or 10km walks being held in Auckland this Saturday. With a theme of "Do it for the ones you love," the aim this year is to boost the sum donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation's research and awareness work. Pre-event entertainment including games and spot prizes start at 4.15pm at The Domain's Wintergarden, and walkers will set off at 5pm.

The Auckland Grammar School Art House tour
The Auckland Grammar School Art House tour is a chance to see (and buy) 44 works of art by renowned and emerging New Zealand artists, and to nosy inside some of the most interesting and elegant houses in central Auckland. Eight homes are hosting the art tour this Saturday, ranging from an Italian modernist-style Parnell pad designed by Andrew Patterson, to an iconic 1920s Gummer & Ford home at the Balmoral-St Andrews Rd intersection and a renovated double-brick cottage in Remuera. Artists with work for sale include Karl Maugham, Judy Millar, Max Gimblett, Guy Harkness (pictured) and photographer Mark Smith. All funds go to the Auckland Grammar School Academic Endowment Fund.

Princess Chelsea at Hollywood Cinema Avondale 
Up-and-coming Auckland singer Princess Chelsea will perform tracks including her 2011 YouTube hit 'Cigarette Duet' and brand new material at Hollywood Cinema Avondale.

ASB Auckland Marathon
Aucklanders will hit the pavement to run the city this Sunday at the annual ASB Auckland Marathon. Have you signed up? There's still entries left for runs ranging from 2.2km to the massive 42km.

Tiny Ruins at Galatos
Catch NZ's alterna-folk darlings, Tiny Ruins tomorrow night on their first NZ full band tour since the announcement of their new record Olympic Girls is to come out in the New Year. Sometimes likened to Nick Drake or Mazzy Star, the singer songwriter Hollie Fullbrook's voice and guitar work evades cliché, and lyrically one of a kind with stories laced with a dark humour has garnered fans the world over including the magnanimous David Lynch.

Sneaker release at Checks Downtown 
Checks downtown are celebrating a one year anniversary with a collaboration with Slovakian footwear brand Novesta. Check out the new high top sneakers which will be drop in store on Friday night. The debut kicks feature a suede upper, black sole and comes in bright pink and orange set for summer.

Mex Festival at ASB Showgrounds
If you're up for the biggest fiesta in Auckland, then head along to Mexican Festival at ASB Showgrounds for traditional eats and drinks, food masterclasses, Mexican folk dance, arts and crafts and plenty more. There's also a chilli eating competition, if you dare.

Bike Rave Auckland 
Bust out the glow sticks and wheels this weekend, as Auckland's Bike Rave takes off on its glowing night right around the city. Don wild outfits and get set to spin with party tunes. A pre-party will kick off at Silo Park from 6.30pm and then it's a 7km ride around the city cycle loop that includes the Te Ara i Whiti pink path and the waterfront, in time for sundown.
