This year is a big year for myself and the An Organised Life team. We're focusing on growing our online community and store further, and putting attention into expanding the wholesale arm of our business internationally.

In 2021 we picked up our favourite Paris-based bookstore, Ofr, and this year we’re aiming to launch into some of our other dream stores. We’ve also recently been working with US PR to expand our reach abroad and this has seen our stationery delivered to the hands of some incredible individuals including Margot Robbie, Phoebe Tonkin, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jen Atkins, Athena Calderone and many more.

Personally, 2022 is set to be one of my biggest years yet too, with a baby girl due in July. My partner Isaac and I are over the moon.

With so much we are working on as a brand it's so important to set new goals and intentions for the year ahead. It’s the start of a new chapter and 365 new opportunities.

Each year I set a personal, professional and financial goal. Sitting down to write new goals is a valuable time to reflect on and celebrate the goals that you did achieve in the past year. It’s a rewarding experience to see the boxes ticked off and to realise the dreams you have made a reality… there’s also studies that show you’re more likely to achieve something when it’s in writing!

For anyone wanting to branch out into their own business, my advice is go with your gut, find your point of difference and what makes your business unique, be patient, and work hard.

I think it’s important to identify your strengths and weaknesses early on, there’s only so much you can do on your own. Harness your strengths and find talented individuals whose strengths are your weakness, this will move your business forward.

Be as hands-on as possible in your first year. You can learn so much from packing orders, speaking to your customers directly and everything in between there’s knowledge and brand growth that comes from focusing on the little details.

WHAT KEEPS ME INSPIRED

On my playlist right now is ... Fleetwood Mac always and Real Love Baby by Father John Misty.

For homeware and furniture, I can't go past ... Slow Store, Boheme Home, St Clements, Father Rabbit and Simon James.

I'm watching ... Billions and Friends.

When I go out I love ... Lilian (for the incredible food every single time) and Freida Margolis for an afternoon wine (or mocktail, in my case) in the sun.

My whole skincare routine is ... currently Dermaviduals.

I recently bought ... this buffet table from Boheme Home and a print of Bondi Beach from Australia-based New Zealand creative Poppie Pack.

For clothing... The Undone is my favourite for beautiful silhouettes and styles that stand the test of time from an array of designers. New Zealand designer-wise, I love Harris Tapper, Marle, Wynn Hamlyn and Paris Georgia.

A podcast I'm enjoying at the moment is ... How I Built This.
