Auckland's 4 Days of Fashion in the Heart of the City kicks off at the end of the month and with it comes the arrival of world famous transgender model Andreja Pejic to walk in Smith & Caughey's Last Friday in March fashion show.

Born in Boznia and raised in Australia, her androgynous look first saw Andreja hit the headlines in 2011 when she walked in both the men’s and women’s shows in Paris for Jean-Paul Gaultier (pictured with Andreja above).

In high demand on the catwalk and for magazine editorials — she has appeared in the likes of Vogue, Elle, Dazed & Confused and i-D — she underwent full sex reassignment surgery in 2013 and was the first transgender model to be profiled in Vogue in 2015.

Now based in New York, Andreja will fly into town to appear exclusively at the Smith & Caughey’s show which will showcase the department stores leading labels.
