With SS19 ‘Survival Strategies’ GmbH continues to represent the children of those who moved from elsewhere to help rebuild Europe after the war and left their home countries to live better lives. “We, the children, are at once European, but also told we do not truly belong.”This idea of belonging is something that will be understood by anyone who has grown up separated from their roots. It helped them develop strategies for survival, which we inherited from our parents and grandparents. “(This) sentiment (is) not unfamiliar to us. ‘Where are you from? No, but where are you really from?’” It’s not about diversity, it’s about being seen. . We couldn't discuss Berlin style without highlighting clothes to wear clubbing, and GmbH is a fashion collective that came together through the city's techno scene. Founded in 2016 by Serhat Isk and Benjamin Alexander Huseby, the LVMH Prize-nominated brand uses deadstock materials to create fitted tops, oversized sweatshirts, unique denim pieces and contemporary suiting. @Gmbh_Official
