Beyonce's new album Renaissance is also a fashionable affair

This past weekend saw the highly anticipated release of Beyonce's seventh studio album entitled Renaissance  the first solo album in six years. A contrast to the more introspective mood of her 2016 release Lemonade, this latest season of Beyonce is a love letter to late 80s and early 90s disco and House music with a coterie of musical references that extends to the album's fashion treatment.

While previous releases focused heavily on visual roll-outs, lyric videos have only been released with this new album, along with a select number of fresh images on Beyonce.com featuring the singer in a range of disco-inspired fashion  from sparkling metallic gowns to structural cocktail dresses. A pair of sequin nipple pasties also feature, just one of the many fashionable merch offerings now available on the website's store.

If you've listened to the album by now, you'll also note on the closing track, Summer Renaissance, the singer namechecking some of her favourite fashion labels  Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Telfar, Prada, Versace, Givenchy. "So elegant and raunchy, this haute couture I'm flaunting," she sings over a sample of Donna Summer's disco classic I Feel Love.

Elsewhere on the song Heated, she mentioned Chanel and Tiffany & Co.

New Zealand model and Viva cover star Georgia Fowler is engaged

One of Aotearoa's top modeling stars Georgia Fowler is now officially engaged after sharing on her Instagram this past weekend that she is to tie the knot with partner Nathan Dalah, the CEO and co-founder of restaurant chain Fishbowl, and brother to rising fashion darling Jordan Dalah. Fowler, 30, who is based in Sydney, shared a video with her 1.3 million followers showing the moment Dalah dropped to one knee while she was shooting on set for an Australian Vogue photo shoot. As the magazine also revealed in its Instagram video of the engagement, the ring was from Tiffany & Co. The couple has a son, Dylan Aman Dalah, born in September last year.

Glossier is coming to Sephora!

It’s time to fire your Glossier mule  at long last Glossier is ditching its direct-to-consumer model by entering into an omnichannel partnership with beauty department store giant, Sephora. Starting from early next year, the brand will launch into Sephora stores across America and Canada, and will also be available to shop on Sephora.com and the Sephora app. The decision reflects the significant upheaval of the brand in 2022  which included company-wide restructuring, revealing a new CEO after founder Emily Weiss stepped down and appointing Olivia Rodrigo as its first-ever celebrity face.
