Dazzle in a pair of sparkly earrings as show-off jewels make a return for the party season. But there’s no need to save these sparklers just for special occasions - give them a whirl during the day with a sweater and jeans.

Spotted on the runway at Balenciaga’s Fall 16 show (giant rhinestone earrings teamed with puffer jackets) and at Saint Laurent (elegant crystal clip-ons), we haven’t seen such a display of glitz since the early 2000s. Always ahead of the game, Phoebe Philo teamed oversized sparkly drops with black and white tailoring for Resort 2015. Or, maybe it’s Netflix’s The Crown, with its diamonds and tiaras, that has us in the mood for grandiose jewellery? Whether you opt for extravagant diamonds or rhinestones, this look is all about not holding back and having some fun.
