How have your mother and your son impacted on your life?
I would describe our relationship with my mother as caring, reciprocal, responsive; a relationship of love, sympathy and acceptance. She has always been there for me and my sisters, providing great support. My mother has dedicated her life to our family, and seeing her lovingly taking care of us has contributed to the way I see myself as a mother and wife. I want to be as caring, nurturing and understanding to my son as my mother was to me.

Best advice your mother gave you?
When I was about to leave my family's nest my mother gave heart-warming advice: "In times of sadness or when you feel homesick just close your eyes. Imagine how cosy you feel when I give you a cuddle. Imagine the place where you are always loved and feel understood. The place where you are always missed. This place is your parent's heart".

Tell us about Mother's Day in your house.
Last year was the first year I celebrated it as a mother and I remember how special I felt. What a precious gift it is to become a mother! I love remembering my pregnancy journey and the miracle of birth on this day and I am still fascinated by how strong a woman's spirit and body can be.

For me, Mother’s Day is all about being with my loved ones. The day usually starts with breakfast and flowers from my husband and then we head off into nature. Simple pleasures.
