Your top tips for dressing for the tennis over summer?
Wear something you can sit in comfortably for hours in the heat.
Take a light-weight (cotton) shirt to protect you when you're in the sun, and to give you an extra layer when it gets cooler during the night sessions and linen pants or long, breezy skirts for the same reason.
Always wear sunscreen, even if you think where you're sitting is going to be covered.
A light windbreaker is also super handy, because you never know with Auckland weather.
How do you beat the heat?
Take your own fan. I've brought back a couple of woven fans from Samoa that I'll be making use of.
What about accessories?
You'll definitely need sunglasses and a hat.
The fall-back is often to wear white. What's your take on that?
If you can wear white without spilling food and drinks all over your outfit, go hard. I can't, so I avoid it, but I wish I could wear white without being a mess.

Sloane Stephens on-court outfit when she won the ASB Classic in 2016 was pretty dope.

Take the opportunity to dress up and enjoy your summer wardrobe.
Off-the-shoulder will be a great look for the tennis this year, but make sure you have sunblock on!
Dress brightly and boldly to stand out amongst the white.

A large brimmed hat, a pair of chic sunglasses are a must. Occasionally the evening sessions can go late, a light wrap is perfect for when the night air cools. A handheld fan is not only cute accessory but super functional on a hot day.
Any style no-no's?
Sportswear – leave that to the tennis pros. Ripped denim shorts that are too short – too much skin is never good.

White is a classic and will keep you cool, I prefer to partner white with a bold pattern - nautical stripes is always a chic classic. Anything with a crisp, loose white shirt will look great. Of course, if you're heading to the Moët Ice Brunch, then white is a must!

Keep it light but smart. A linen shirt or a pair of crisp Bermuda shorts are both great examples of tidy casual attire for the tennis.
Smart sneakers or leather sandals are a great way to lift a casual outfit.
Focus on cool colours like summer white or blue tones. Stay away from wearing anything too dark.
How do you beat the heat?
Sunblock with a good SPF is important to lather on.

Avoid bright colours that can distract players from their game, especially if you're sitting somewhere that's in their eyeline.

I think white is a great colour to wear over summer – to the tennis included. It's preppy and sharp and in keeping with the slightly more dressier take on spectator dressing that's appropriate for the sport.

Your top three tips for dressing for the tennis over summer?
Wear a wide-brimmed hat, to protect yourself from our powerful Aotearoa sun.
Wear sunblock too and stay in the shade where you can.
Natural fabrics and diaphanous designs are the go.
How do you beat the heat?
Personally, I avoid going out in it but if I have to I like to carry refreshing spritzers to help me cool down. Trilogy does a Hydrating Mist Toner and Dermalogica's one is nice too. Evian's Natural Mineral Water spray is a go-to also.
What about accessories?
At the moment I'm really into mixing my metals - so my advice is to layer up. From my jewellery range I recommend Modern Classic pieces for the mix of sterling silver and different gold tones.
If your outfit is on the floaty side maybe try to juxtapose that with something more substantial with statement jewellery, maybe the Gentlemen's Club studs and pendant.
Or try flowers in your hair. I love that. But you’ll have to spritz your hair pieces with a mist of water regularly to keep them lasting the day. And don’t forget your sunglasses.
Any style no-no's?
The only style I feel is a no-no is wearing something that you will feel uncomfortable in as the day grows longer - clothes that are a little too clingy in the heat, heels that are a little too high. It's a long day, so make sure you dress to enjoy your time there.

White is great, I love wearing it. But be very conscious of that person gesticulating with that giant glass of red… I think they're getting closer.
What's the best outfit you've seen at the tennis?
I never saw it first hand, but I love that catsuit that Anne White wore in 1985… killer.

Feminine silk dresses or playsuits in floral or pastels. Pretty but practical for full sunshine and heat.
How do you beat the heat?
Oversized hats and flutes of champagne! The Moet and Chandon marquee is a popular meeting place before and after the games.
What about accessories?
We have custom designed a classic trainer for the ASB Classic tournament: a fresh white leather slimline sneaker with metallic gold leather appliqued to the upper. A play on 'tennis ball chic'. These complement silk floral playsuits and dresses perfectly - along with mid-height sandals, which can last you throughout the day games into the night.

Anything goes, but something suitable for courtside action so you can catch the balls that are off-side!

I love tennis whites - I will be embracing that myself this year.

The men always look dapper in their pastel sportscoats and chinos. And the Moet lounge guests have some great outfits on the boys who have polished up for the event, I love this.
