Pair a square of this sweet and delicious Spanish-inspired bienmesabe with a coffee
This sweet and delicious Spanish-inspired bienmesabe recipe is delicious served with chocolate sauce, icecream or simply eat a square while enjoying a cup of coffee. Place it into an airtight container and it should last a few days.
Makes 20 pieces
150g butter, melted
6 egg yolks
200g ground almonds
½ cup finely chopped almonds
icing sugar to dust
1. Preheat an oven to 170C. Line a 20cm x 20cm tin with baking paper.
2. Into a large bowl combine the sugar, butter, yolks, ground almonds and chopped almonds. Pour into the tin and spread evenly. Place into the oven for 45 minutes until just set. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
3. Dust with icing sugar before serving.Share this:
