Morepork BBQ

Orleans
No celebration of American independence would be complete without a trip to Orleans where a feast of cobb loaf, hot wings, hot dogs and a divine southern-style strawberry shortcake await. The Pie Piper
It should come as no surprise that celebrating Independance Day festivities is as easy as pie here. Allowing burgeoning pie-makers the chance to take the wheel, on the Tuesday there will be a special pie-making class so you can make your very own all-American apple pie. However, if you fancy a less labour-intensive approach, there will be all manner of delights and daily specials on offer throughout the week, ranging from pumpkin to banana cream pie, with doughnuts to match.
321 K Rd, Auckland Central

Miss Moonshine's
Nothing says "celebration" like a whole hog barbecue, and that's precisely how they like to get the party started at Miss Moonshine's. There will also be American beers on tap and servers dressed in costume, and if you dress up too, they'll even shout you your first drink. With a special meal on July 4, combined with Miss Moonshine's second birthday on July 1, a fantastic Independence Day is definitely on the cards.
