If you're brunching at home this weekend, swing by Pasture and pick up a loaf of their sourdough, which is made with just three ingredients and local grains. Viva writer Rosie Herdman is a fan and highly recommends serving it with a poached egg, hot smoked salmon and watercress on the side with a drizzle of good olive oil.

Say bonjour to this French-style bakery which sells delicious bread, both by the loaf and turned into amazing fresh sandwiches and filled baguettes. There are lines out the door of La Voie Francais most weekends and it's hard not to leave without one of their amazing canalés which sit on the counter.

The Midnight Baker
You won't find any fluffy white loaves at The Midnight Baker, but this is the perfect spot for those who can't have gluten, grains, sugar, nuts or dairy. Their loaves are full of seeds and are served with delicious sweet and savoury toppings at their vegan cafe.

Pick up a loaf made by Olaf and you'll want to eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Olaf's send their bread to plenty of Auckland's top restaurants and it's not hard to see why they love their delicious creations, which are inspired by Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland and more.
