Baking . . . Anzac biscuits
Ripe Deli has given away its secrets to a tasty Anzac biscuit to fill the tins this long weekend. Its decadent take on the traditional Kiwi biscuit adds rich dark chocolate and sweetly scented spices into the mix. Find the recipe on Instagram @ripedeli. And find the recipes for Viva's must-bake cookies here.

Reading . . . How To Fail: Everything I've Ever Learned From Things Going Wrong
A while before any of this lockdown business, I downloaded a book onto my Kindle called How To Fail: Everything I've Ever Learned From Things Going Wrong by Elizabeth Day, which is hilariously apt for my own life right now due to... a number of reasons. But, I'm recommending this book because this is a super hard time for just about everyone. Many of us have lost jobs, had loved ones become unwell, had to cancel weddings and birthdays and funerals. Of course these aren't personal failures, but they are challenges, and like failure, it's not the challenge that defines us but rather how we respond to it that shapes us as individuals. Don't worry, I've already added 'motivational speaker' to my CV.  Rosie Herdman, assistant fashion editor

Watching . . .Too Hot To Handle
'Guilty... pleasure', is what a sultry voice whispers breathlessly in the opening sequence of Netflix's new dating show Too Hot To Handle, accurately describing what this shameful reality TV spectacle will soon be to you. Ten 'hot, horny serial swipers' converge on a tropical island (a la Love/Heartbreak/Temptation Island), all expecting the sexual adventure of their lives. Plot twist: There's no hanky panky to be had, or contestants risk blowing the $100,000 prize. While you'll probably lose a few brain cells watching these often awful people navigate what should be a fairly simple task, it's the perfect lowbrow distraction from the strange and scary reality we're facing. Watching . . . Music gigs at home
Australian and New Zealand musicians are banding together for a live-streamed gig 'Music On The Home Front' for Anzac Day this Saturday. The line-up includes Courtney Barnett, Vance Joy, Delta Goodrem, and New Zealanders Dave Dobbyn and Marlon Williams. Tune in from 9.30pm NZ time on TV Three. Also filling our Saturday with tunes is Six60 frontman Matui Walters weekly Saturday night acoustic jam from 8pm NZ time via the band's Instagram @six60.
