Everything We’ll Be Adding To Cart When Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Arrives In Aotearoa

Excitement levels are high since news broke that the cult beauty brand will be available from Mecca this September

British makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury MBE has forged a successful career in the luxury beauty space, and now her eponymous line will be readily available to Kiwi beauty buffs in Mecca stores and online at Meccabeauty.co.nz from September.

It's the first time the in-demand global beauty brand will be available in a bricks-and-mortar retailer in Australasia, so if there's anything in particular you have your eye on — make sure to get in quick.

Charlotte’s Magic Cream

If it’s supermodel glow you’re after, you'll be delighted to learn that this in-demand moisturiser/primer hybrid was created backstage at fashion week to prep model’s skin for the runway. Loaded with hyaluronic acid, soothing aloe vera and line-plumping peptides, this do-it-all cream is said to hydrate, smooth and brighten, ensuring the makeup to follow glides on as smoothly as possible.

Pillow Talk Push-Up Lashes Mascara

Four of these tubes are sold every minute, so you know it must be good. Promising length, volume and curl without weighing lashes down, the wet formula won’t clump or flake, but will lift lashes vertically for up to 24 hours. Removal at the end of the day is said to be a breeze, without the need for tugging or pulling.

Eyes To Mesmerise

And mesmerise they will: I lost about 10 minutes watching TikToks and Reels of makeup artists swiping this creamy eyeshadow over models’ eyelids. The newest shade to be added to the range is Pillow Talk — a rose gold hue that lends the prettiest touch of sparkle. It’s blend of hydrating vitamin E and lustrous polymers diffuse light for a soft-focus finish.

Look Of Love — Instant Look In A Palette

It's by far the most popular palette in Tilbury’s roster, and is based around seven glow-giving, universally flattering shades designed for use on eyes, cheeks and complexion. Each pan is numbered for ease, ranging from Eye Brighten, a rose taupe sparkle to colour-correct, widen and brighten eyes, to Cheek Pop, a radiant, rosy-peach blush, and Face Bronze, a sample of the brand’s iconic Filmstar Bronzer in Medium/Deep to create a sun-kissed effect.

Hollywood Beauty Light Wand

I’ve always had a soft spot for cream highlighters, so this little light-giver has me particularly jazzed. Pearlescent spheres and light-reflecting particles boost brightness and illuminate the complexion, lending a natural glow. The cushion applicator makes easy work of application, dispensing product evenly when dotted over cheekbones or down the bridge of the nose. Photo / Supplied

Filmstar Bronze & Glow

This contouring and highlighting duo contains two complementary shades to add definition to any makeup look. Each contains golden, light-reflecting pigments that promise an airbrushed effect. Using a fan brush, dust on the bronze shade under cheekbones and the golden highlight on the high points of the face for a skin-flattering finish.

Lip Cheat Pillow Talk Original

Lip liners are one of the most underrated items in anyone’s beauty kit, but with the right technique can be one of the most transformative. Unlike its chalky predecessors, Lip Cheat’s velvety texture glides on more smoothly than a crayon, but to long-lasting effect thanks to its waterproof formula. Pillow Talk Original is a barely-there nude that helps to re-shape and re-size the appearance of lips in one swipe.
