Celebrity Beauty Looks We Love 27/08/2018

This week’s celebrity beauty looks were prim, proper and polished

We’re convinced Blake Lively can do no wrong. Striking a pose outside the Crosby Hotel in New York, the actress, mother and spokesmodel looked every bit the sophisticate.

We’d very much like tips from her makeup artist on how to achieve such a dewy base, and a lesson in how to discover which lip shade suits different skin tones.

We’re still reeling over Jesinta Franklin’s ice blonde bob, which appeared all the more glossy at the Myer Spring Summer ’18 Collection launch in Sydney. Cropped to her jaw, Franklin’s fresh cut emphasised her delicate bone structure. Pair this with a bronzed complexion, peachy-nude lip, and an exaggerated cat-eye and voila! Uber chic.

The Tonight singer continued to defy time at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards in New York this week.

Her glowing base was framed with her glossy Rapunzel-esque tresses, which extending beyond her waist. J-Lo tends to play her beauty look safe these days (her makeup is a revolving door of bronze, gold and taupe shades), but these spaced-out mink lashes gave her VMA look a literal lift.

The youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan looked surprisingly demure at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York this week.

The 21-year-old wore her hair in a deep side part, with strands brushed tightly back into a low bun — save for a few strands left free around her face. We’re calling the new mum’s bluff — Jenner must have nannies working overtime to look quite this fresh with a newborn at home.

She’s growing up practically in front of our eyes. Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown appeared every bit the grown woman at the Stranger Things Season 2 screening at AMC Lincoln Square Theatre in New York.

The 14-year-old donned cerulean blue eyeshadow to strike a beautiful contrast with her rich brown eyes, while her blunt bob was softly tousled.

Who says a high ponytail can’t be chic? Actress Regina Hall makes a strong case for a polished pony at the premiere of Support The Girls at Arclight Theatre in Los Angeles this week.

By pulling all the hair back off her face, Hall appeared all the more youthful and wide-eyed when snapped under glowing lights.

We love it when actresses with auburn hair rock a red lip, and Sarah Drew is no exception. The Grey’s Anatomy star was beaming at the Television Academy’s Performers Peer Group Celebration in Los Angeles this week.

Offering the kind of lift that only comes from parting your hair to the opposite side, Drew’s hairstylist achieved the kind of volume we all dream about. Couple this with a blue-based red lip, and we’re picking Drew’s look as the best of the week.
