Celebrity Beauty Looks We Love 29/10/2018

Prim and polished was the name of the game for this week’s best in beauty

Italian fashion influencer, social media guru, entrepreneur and new mum Chiara Ferragni added another title to her growing CV earlier this year as Pomellato Jewellery’s brand ambassador. The Blonde Salad blogger was beaming at the Pomellato store opening at Christie’s in Beverly Hills this week.

Offering up all the nostalgic vibes of the early 00s, Ferragni opted for a soft lavender shadow designed to perfectly match her sequin and feather mini dress. Not overly fussy or overdone, a swipe of black eyeliner on her lower lash line defined her ice blue eyes, and lashings of mascara polished off the look. Given her star power, we predict this not-so-bold return to colour will soon catch on.

Pass us the hair growth serum, we’re officially jealous. Jasmine Sanders and her enviable braid attended the Bella Hadid x True Religion campaign party at Poppy in Los Angeles.

Spanning from the top of her head down to her lower back, Sanders’ braid gave even Rapunzel a run for her money, and induced memories of Beyoncé’s sentient braid hair flip back in 2016. Double points to Sanders for expertly matching her rouge lip colour with her handbag.

We must admit we were surprised to see The Only Way Is Essex star Chloe Lewis ditch her usual tousled waves for a more elegant up-do at the iTV Palooza at The Royal Festival Hall in London.

The reality star wore her blunt fringe free, while the remainder of her brunette locks were swept into a high top-knot on her crown. Equal parts romantic and refined, Lewis complemented her decidedly grown up beauty look with a lick of burgundy lipstick and an accentuated beauty spot.

While we can’t possibly comment on the risqué dress (or lack thereof), 26-year-old Olivia Culpo looked first-rate from the décolleté up at the JBL Sound Splash event.

Capitalising on the glass hair movement the model, actress and former Miss Universe winner wore her long bob smooth and straight, complemented by a glossy peach lip and false lashes in the outer corners of her eye.

In our beauty book, Chrissy Teigen can do no wrong. The witty model and mother-of-two showed good face at Sephora’s SEPHORiA House of Beauty session at The Majestic Downtown in Los Angeles. We’d expect nothing less from the regular Becca makeup collaborator.

Teigen’s overall look follows the kind of no-fail formula we aspire to. Dewy skin? Check. ‘Just pinched’ blush? Check. Groomed brows? Check. Bold lashes? Check. Skin tone friendly lip shade? Check. It’s a yes from us.

It’s a good thing we’re not in charge of the Best Looks Of The Week, as Katy Perry may not have featured here otherwise. Ignore the 80s-inspired, powder blue get-up and take a minute to appreciate the pop singer’s beauty look at the amfAR Gala at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.

Flawless, skin-tone perfecting foundation was punctuated with pinky shades on cheeks, lips and eyes. We can spot some expert under-eye concealer baking from a mile away, and this technique prevented Perry from looking jaded. Iridescent pink eyeshadow (zoom in) and fluffy mink eyelashes helped the singer’s blue-green eyes pop.

’White out’ was the messaged we received from Rita Ora when she attended the Louis Vuitton and Virgil Abloh London Pop-Up this week.

The Let You Love Me singer wore thick white winged liquid eyeliner on her upper lash line, and a thinner line on her waterline. Eyelids were left bare, save for a dusting of white shadow under fluffy, brushed-up brows. For hair, Ora’s tresses were parted in the centre and slicked back into a twisted bun, with straight ends kept fun and free.
