Colours were unabashedly bold this week from Kate Middleton and celebrities on the Black Panther red carpet

Kate Middleton brightened up her visit to Sweden with a striking red and white houndstooth jacket by Catherine Walker. The Duchess of Cambridge kept her look otherwise simple with brown gloves and a burgundy leather Chanel bag.

The Black Panther premier was a brightly-coloured red (or, technically purple) carpet, but one of the film's stars Lupita Nyong'o looked especially regal in a bespoke Atelier Versace purple gown with ornate gold embellishments.

At the same event, Donald Glover also pulled out all the stops with his tangerine suit, orange patterned shirt and velvet loafers, all by Dolce & Gabbana.

Janelle Monae switched up her usual penchant for wearing a suit on the red carpet, instead opting for a voluminous gown by Christian Siriano, Erickson Beamon choker and gold crown.

Chrissy Teigen didn't miss this week's bright colour memo. The pregnant model and cookbook author wore red-on-red, with a jacket by Styland and Haney Resort 2018 dress, on her way to appearing on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
