Full-length and full-skirted looks skimmed the red carpets from Newport Beach to Rome



Tapping into the 60s era of her new film Last Night in Soho, the New Zealander is literally shining bright in this Gucci halter neck gown at the film's L.A. premiere. No surprises if we see another 60s renaissance taking place in fashion — the era's psychedelic, unhinged moment of emancipation and a youthquake resurgence is a vibe that is resonating with many of us right now. Best known for her role as Jolene in The Queen's Gambit, the actor suits up in this two-piece ensemble from A.W.A.K.E MODE's fall 2021 collection on the red carpet at the 22nd Annual Newport Beach Film Festival. I like how her steel-cap tassel loafers contrast the look's otherwise classic mid-century silhouette, giving this outfit a contemporary feel.

Her wardrobe of dramatic looks for the premiere tour of her new film Eternals has been a welcome introduction to some new brands not often seen on the red carpet, this time a two-piece set from London-based fashion designer Sohee Park and her label Miss Sohee. The look is complemented with a glittering headpiece, worn to the film's Rome Film Festival premiere.

Co-star Angelina has been a welcome return to the red carpet recently to promote the new Marvel Comics film, this week opting for a billowing skirt with a shirt and jacket — a new take on a tuxedo, from Valentino haute couture, styled once again by celebrity stylist Jason Bolden.

The Eternals director also joined her cast for the full-length skirt memo wearing Chanel at the film's premiere in London. This patterned skirt with floral motif, styled with a sleek top and textured coat, provides an easy formula for after-five dressing that's unfussy and easy to pull together.
