Inside the Glamorous Tiffany & Co. Auckland Opening
Tiffany & Co. celebrated the opening of its new Auckland store — see who was there
A giant Tiffany & Co. jewellery box took over the middle of Takutai Square at Britomart last night, to mark the grand opening of the luxury jewellery brand’s new Auckland store.
Over 150 VIP guests attended the glamorous cocktail event to celebrate the store, which opened its doors earlier this month.
Guests included the New York-based Australian model Shanina Shaik, who had flown in earlier that day for the event. She wore a strappy Dion Lee dress with a million-dollar white and yellow diamond Tiffany & Co. necklace. She joked to us earlier in the day that she would have two security guards following her around for the night.
New York-based DJ Hannah Bronfman was also flown in for the glamorous event.
Local guests included sports stars Maria Tutaia, Kayla Cullen and Scott and Anita McLaren, fashion designers Trelise Cooper, Helen Cherry and Marc More of Stolen Girlfriends Club, along with Jaime Ridge, Art Green and Matilda Rice.
Auckland Mayor Phil Goff spoke, as did Peter Cooper, who has been instrumental in creating the Britomart precinct, and vice president and managing director of Tiffany & Co. Oceania Glen Schlehuber, and Tiffany & Co. Oceania sales director Bill Nolan.
Tiffany & Co. joins international brands Chanel, Zara and H&M, who have opened new stores in New Zealand this year.
