Looks Of The Week 01/10/21

From London to L.A., these well-known faces were bedecked in velvet, silk and diamonds

Putting their best foot forward at the world premiere of the latest Bond film, No Time To Die, the royal couple dazzle on the red carpet at Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday evening. William sharpens up in this black velvet tuxedo with matching velvet shoes while Kate’s gold beaded Jenny Packham gown is a noticeable departure from her previous red carpet looks — a bold statement and perhaps a sartorial strategy plucked straight out of the royals’ playbook to deter from everything else happening in their orbit (Prince Andrew’s legal troubles, the release of another Diana biopic etc. etc. etc).

Also opting for a rosy hue, the actor attended the 74th Annual Tony Awards wearing this pale pink Prada suit with a cummerbund. The stylist should have steamed that sleeve but Jake makes it work.

The lady is a vamp in a Schiaparelli gown and Chopard jewels, an equally dramatic French twist hairdo completes the look at the Academy Museum Of Motion Pictures Opening Gala in L.A., an event that could quite possibly give The Met Gala a run for its money given it’s star-studded pulling power.
