Looks Of The Week 22/07/22

Let's hear it for the boys. From linen skirts to pastel suits, the heatwave inspired fresh ways to stay cool, calm and collected

BRAD PITT

Joining co-stars Zazie Beetz and Joey King at the Berlin premiere of Bullet Train, the actor battles the European heatwave with the help of this all-linen Haans Nicholas Mott look. When asked about the skirt, the actor simply replied, “The breeze, the breeze.” Brad looks completely at ease, and while linen can be unforgiving on a red carpet, Brad wears it with conviction.

TAYLOR ZAKHAR PEREZ

Also attending the Bullet Train premiere in Berlin, Taylor Zakhar Perez opts for a classic Raf Simons silhouette with a polo neck top and relaxed trouser from Prada, complete with Prada's popular Monolith shoes. A minimalist look like this is a great choice for the young actor.

DANIEL KALUUYA

The polo neck memo made it stateside with Daniel Kaluuya's sharp look at the world premiere of Nope at the iconic Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Daniel's Dior Homme suit is a clean and contemporary take on traditional tailoring that works well here.

JORDAN PEELE

Also in attendance is popular comedian Jordan Peelse who wrote, directed and co-produced Nope, described as a science-fiction horror film. Wearing a custom linen Bode suit with Andy Wolfe glasses, I particularly like the way this double-breasted suit features the brand's signature embroidery.

KENDRICK SAMPSON

Another great suit on display this week came courtesy of the actor's simple styling in this Moschino resort 2023 suit with wide-leg trousers at the Nope premiere — a surprising white dress shoe works well with the colour of this suit.

REGE-JEAN PAGE

Also opting for a relaxed, chest-revealing look is the British actor at the London premiere of his new film The Gray Man, wearing a sleek custom Ozwald Boateng suit.

RYAN GOSLING

Rege-Jean's The Gray Man co-star Ryan opts for this tonal pastel Gucci look and thankfully his Ken bleach from his forthcoming Barbie film has washed out because this ensemble could have gone another way. The part-time TAG Heuer ambassador is wearing one of the brand's elegant Carrera Three Hands timepieces too.

PHIL DUNSTER

Another pastel look that stood out this week was English actor Phil Dunster's Paul Smith matching jacket and trouser set in pale blue, in attendance at the Los Angeles FYC Special Screening of Apple TV+'s Ted Lasso in Beverly Hills.
